Ryley Learning offers a sexual harassment e-learning course that complies with New York State’s new training requirements. Our course incorporates the model training developed by New York State’s Department of Labor and Division of Human Rights with our own animated, engaging modules. This way, New York State employers can be sure they are delivering training that exceeds the minimum standards.
What are the new requirements?
Beginning in October 2018, New York State employers (regardless of the number of employees) must adopt a sexual harassment prevention policy and training that meet or exceeds the law’s minimum standards. Reference.
The minimum standards and model policies are provided on the website of New York State’s Division of Human Rights.
Every employer in New York State is required to provide employees with sexual harassment prevention training. Reference.
Sexual harassment is unlawful pursuant to the New York Human Rights Law § 296.1 (codified as N.Y. Executive Law, Article 15), and the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title VII (codified as 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq.). Reference.
